A Secret Ingredient in the Campaign Mix: Tocqueville Society Step-Up Program

Fluer-di-lisOne of the easiest ways to grow your campaign is to focus on the Tocqueville Society Step-Up program. The program allows donors to grow gifts from $5,000 to $10,000 over a period of four years while being recognized as a full Tocqueville Society member for each of these years.

During the 2006 campaign only 10% of eligible donors from our top Tocqueville companies took advantage of the great program. In 2007 though, we are already seeing very different results. Ernst & Young and Northern Trust have both focused on using the Step-Up program and have seen tremendous campaign growth! Focusing on this program is the easiest way to see growth in both total dollars raised and number of Tocqueville Society members.

Below is the typical gift for a Tocqueville Society Step-Up member.

Entry Year

$5,000

Year Two

$6,500

Year Three

$8,000

Year Four

$10,000

National CityAs an added bonus this year, National City will match all new Step-Up donors at the full $10,000 level even if they are only giving $5,000. Please help us take advantage of this tremendous opportunity! Please contact your United Way representative or Sean Garrett from our Major Gifts department, (312) 906-2273, for help and visit our website for more information.
